A true halfmoon betta is a betta which forms an almost complete full circle where the dorsal fin, anal fin and caudal tailfin overlap each other and forms a complete circle. The halfmoon caudal fin should spread more than 180 degress when flaring.

Halfmoon Environment: Like swamps and marshlands that are highly acidic.

Halfmoon foods: Likes small insects, nymphs, and a variety of bush flies.

Mealtime in Captivity: Halfmoon like frozen and live foods.

Water Temperature: PH: 5, 77 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
