The Betta Chloropharynx grows no more than 5.6 centimeters long.

Their natural habitat is lurking in leaf litter waters, and in secondary forest water areas.

Oftentimes the Chloropharynx is referred to as the "Green Throat Mouthbrooder" and has only been recorded as recently as the year 1994.
